Game Descriptions

Clear descriptions for different contexts and audiences

Short Description

Luminids is a living world simulation where glowing beings grow, adapt, and build civilizations over time. Players can guide development, intervene directly, or step back and watch the world evolve through its own systems.

Detailed Description

Luminids is a civilisation simulation built around living systems rather than scripted outcomes. Worlds evolve through layered terrain generation, environmental dynamics, and the behaviour of individual Luminids acting within shared rules.

Each Luminid participates in society through relationships, roles, and responses to change. Civilisations form, expand, fracture, and recover as a result of migration, resource pressure, environmental shifts, and player influence.

Players are not required to micromanage. Influence can be light or direct, ranging from quiet observation to decisive intervention. Small actions can ripple forward across generations, while inaction allows the world to continue on its own terms.

The result is a calm, readable experience on the surface, with deeper systems and long-term consequences unfolding naturally over time.
